Last update: January 03, 2013 (next expected update: July 2013)
Computations by: Piero Sicoli , Francesco Manca (sormano@tin.it).
This list includes close encounters of asteroids with planets Mercury, Venus and Mars for the next two centuries (some periodic comets are also included) using Software developed at Sormano Observatory. Two similar lists with close approaches to the Earth are available at MBPL - Minor Body Priority List ( with H<= 22.0 ) and SAEL - Small Asteroids Encounters List (with H > 22.0) page ( software for the Earth MOID by F. Manca, G. Matarazzo, P. Sicoli , Sormano Observatory ).
Multi-opposition minor planets with MOID (Minimum Orbital Intersection Distance) lower than 0.0100 AU have been selected from Bruce Koehn's and Ted Bowell's orbit intersections page at epoch January 8, 2013 .
Their motions were integrated in order to point out encounters within 0.02 AU (software by A. Testa, Sormano Observatory). Among these , we select the most interesting close encounters (depending on MOID, U parameter, nominal distance, propagation of the error etc.) for which the future minimum (min) and maximum (max) miss distances in AU are computed using the OrbFit Software Package. These values, based on a 3-sigma uncertainty confidence level, are reported at the left of the nominal result and a symbol " r " means that available radar observations have been included in the orbital solution.
Any comment and/or suggestion will be welcomed.
