VST -OAC  SURVEY: technical aspects

The OAC-VST survey will be performed in four bands. Two bands (V narrow and V) will cover a 64 square degree field while the other two (R and z narrow) will cover only 1/6-th of the field. The completion of the survey will require 56 night of OAC guaranteed time distributed over three years.

The limiting magnitudes are in the Vega system, integrated over a 3 arcsec circular aperture and at S/N=5. Limiting magnitudes for unresolved sources are ca. 1 mag fainter. Track for M* galaxies can be found here

Complementary photometry of the same field will be performed at CFH.
