Sormano Astronomical Observatory: Close encounter between periodic comet 2P/Encke and Mercury, diagrams and orbit evolution

Last update: May 13, 2013

Computations: Piero Sicoli, Francesco Manca (obs.sormano@alice.it).

Dedicated page to the future close encounter of the periodic comet 2P/Encke and Mercury and its orbit evolution (see also our PCEL - Planetary close encounter list a list that reports, sorted by designation, minor bodies with a possible minimum planet-miss distance within about 1,5 millions km or 0.0100 AU from the inner planets) .

All diagrams were extrapolated from internal software used also to compute close encounters between asteroids and the Earth ( SAEL and MBPL ) or the CEIP page for the inner planets
